I have ad-aware SE. It’s very good program, but (I wrote about this to lavasoft) once I chose to scan Windows and System Volume Information folders (under ADS option), I got a result that I have over 4000 (yes 4000!) Critical Objects. Under full system scan it found 4 - 5 objects. It marked as malware and TAC 7 every file of those 4000. Can anyone tell me why did that happen?

  • Anonymous says:

    i use it too, now!
    it detected 629 infected files!

i tried updating through their website. i found the link, but it wouldnt work. so now what? any recomendations?

  • Anonymous says:

Well Ad-aware SE is still supported but you have to update manually through their website to get the latest defenitions. It kinda sucks if you ask me :(

  • Anonymous says:

is it true that ad aware se is no longer supported, forcing you to go update (so they call it) to ad aware 2007? i recently updated to the 2007 thing, and have read many comments that se is no longer supported which would explain why i havnt been able to update it for a long while now. and 2007 takes sooo long, so much more space, and i miss my se, has anyone else heard of this?

avast is an antivirus, ad-aware is an antispyware program

  • Anonymous says:

    Avast is better
